Reiki is a holistic healing practice that initiates the energetic realignment of the mind, body and spirit. Reiki practitioners are essentially conduits for healing; they are attuned with the ability to channel the Universal Life Force Energy (also known as Qi or Chi) from their hands to another person using focused intention and light touch. Down to the smallest particles of our being, we are composed of energy. All of the things we perceive in our 3D reality are actually just tiny units of matter vibrating at different energetic frequencies. Reiki works by cleansing and refreshing that energy, which invites each individual to begin healing in their own natural way. This highly versatile healing art can help you release stress, break free from detrimental behaviors, restore your system's natural harmony, flow into life's many transitions, achieve optimal wellness, expand your consciousness, and so much more. The possibilities are truly endless when you enter into it with an open mind and heart.
What to Expect
The best way to go into Reiki is actually to surrender any preconceived expectations of what the experience may bring. Intentions and goals are important, but focusing too much attention on how you think the process may unfold can inhibit you from effectively releasing whatever energy needs to move along. In order to determine the best possible treatment, your session will begin with a brief consultation to discuss your healing intentions. You will then remove your shoes, lay fully clothed on a massage table, and enter into a meditative state as healing energy flows throughout your body. Once your session has ended, there will be some time to check in and ask questions. Reiki can be experienced in many different ways but most clients report feelings of peace, bliss, lightness, clarity, release of tension, and a sense of wellbeing following a session.
